The crypts don't end, and neither do the things that live in them.

Soulforge is a top-down, pixel-art bullet-heaven crawler. You don't aim, you don't reload — your blade finds the nearest enemy on its own. Your job is simpler and harder: keep moving, keep collecting soul-shards, and keep your soul bound to your body for just a little longer.

Every level-up throws open a choice of Rites — damage, attack speed, piercing bolts, extra projectiles, movement, regeneration — and no two runs build out the same way. The dark gets thicker the longer you last, with faster grunts, brutal fast-movers, and lumbering tanks joining the fray as the clock ticks on.

When you finally fall, you're not empty-handed. Every run banks Embers, a permanent currency you spend at the Soul Shrine between descents — unlocking lasting upgrades to your vigor, speed, damage, attack rate, ember gain, and starting level. Every death makes the next descent a little easier.

Features

  • Auto-attacking pixel-art combat — move and dodge, your blade handles the rest
  • Roguelite level-up rites — a randomized trio of upgrades every time you level up
  • Escalating waves — grunts, fast-movers, and tanks scale in number and strength the longer you survive
  • Permanent meta-progression — bank Embers between runs and spend them at the Soul Shrine on lasting upgrades
  • Full save export/import — back up your progress to a code or file, and restore it anytime
  • Hand-drawn pixel-art sprites and a tiled stone dungeon floor, built entirely in-browser

Controls

  • Move: WASD or Arrow Keys
  • Everything else — attacking, targeting — is automatic
